Hi, I'm Bernard
I'm a finance professional contractor and Excel-VBA Pro with a passion for Accounting, Analysis and Reporting processes. I have hands-on experience implementing world-class finance systems and developing desktop tools for others to use. I enjoy developing simple, clean and slick Excel-VBA models that provide that extra value to the end user. With my finance backgroud, I quickly grasp the business process and leverage proven Excel-VBA techniques so my clients realize exceptional time-saving results. Recent Excel-VBA Projects
FP&A Reporting Model Enhancements
Upgraded existing FP&A model to generate individual cost center (Excel file) reports containing actuals vs budget variances. The files must contain the transaction level actuals and budget by cost account. The file will also serve as an input tool for cost center owners to supply their forcast of projected cost. This file did not contain VBA code and the cost center owners were able to use it with any training.
Payroll to GL Mapping Tool
The finance department needed a tool for their payroll manager to map the bi-weekly payroll runs to their accounting system. I developed the model that took the payroll data and generated a balance journal entry that was ready to upload to their general ledger. The payroll manager was able to utilize the VBA tool with almost no training.

I will usually get back to you in a day to setup a FREE 20 minute scoping call. If it is something I can do, we'll sign a one-page agreement/NDA and the work can begin. Depending on the details, the work usually starts within 3 days. I'll do the work and we'll likely go through a couple of rounds of testing. The average project takes about 4 hours to complete the cycle. Unless agreed to otherwise, you'll receive a bill once the work is completed to your satisfaction.
